Eric Villency has been acclaimed as one of the most influential designers working today. Well+Good called him “The wizard of wellness design” for his innovative work in the fitness industry which include high profile projects for Soul Cycle, Barry’s bootcamp, Rumble boxing and Peloton’s interactive bike. Under his leadership of the Villency Design Group the business has grown into a leading consumer product development company while maintaining it’s reputation for innovative furniture and interior design.
Villency’s unique multidisciplinary approach to design has produced a prolific body of work that includes sports stadiums, airport terminals, hotels, hospitals, fitness equipment, fashion, automotive design, furniture, consumer electronics and product design.
He appears frequently as a design expert on national television in addition to authoring numerous articles on the subject. Villency has lectured at Savanah College of Art and Design, FIT and the MIT Sloan School of Management and been honored for his achievements in design with awards from FIT and the IFDA. He serves on the board of directors for Operation Renewed Hope Foundation dedicated to ending veteran homelessness.
